Hollywood North

When the Knox residence manual warned us that the college residence and College of Theology and the Presbyterian church is quite a popular place for weekend weddings and where people actually go to film stuff, I didn't actually think much about it. Sure the architecture is certainly beautiful but what are the chances of that happening anyway?

It turns out that Canada, and since 2002, Toronto itself is a sort of "capital" for Holywoodland to make their movies. That in these circles, it has been in fact been called Hollywood North since 1981.

So this morning through the noon, this same spot was crowded with equipment, crew and they generally held up people passing through the front door most of the morning...and I didn't get to ask what the film was. I took this shot the first week I came here though and the maple trees' leaves have long since turned red and fallen off the branches.
